The headaches began around the first of June 2007. They were
excruciating and lasted all day. Thus, I began my doctor's
appointments to try to discover their cause. Over the next 7
months, I saw my primary care physician, dentist, endodontist,
optometrist, allergist, ENT, neurologist and orthopedist. I had CT
scans, MRI's, Glucose Tolerance Tests, Facet Injections, Occipital Nerve
Injections, and Epidurals - and I still had headaches. It was so
difficult to do the things I had to do each day. I simply couldn't
think clearly with this pain. I only wanted to go home and go to
bed so that I could sleep - which was the only time I didn't hurt.
Then in March, my daughter told me that she had discussed my headaches
with her friend who is a Pilates and Yoga instructor. This friend
told my daughter to tell me to find a good Massage Therapist immediately
and have a neck and shoulder massage once a week. I have been a
member of the Fitness Forum for years, so went straight to the newly
opened Forum Spa. I discussed my problems with them and they
understood what I was saying and felt that they could help me. I
have been going to them now for six weeks and my headaches have gone
completely away! It is truly amazing! I only wish I had
started going to them sooner. It was definitely my neck that was
causing the headaches, and the Massage Therapist there works with my
neck, my shoulders, and my back. In addition to the therapeutic
benefits of the Forum Spa, it is my time to relax and leave the world
outside! In everything I do, I am more at ease and calmer than
before. It's therapy, but it's a luxury that I do for ME.
